To qualify for the Elderly Waiver, individuals must:
Be 65 years or older
Qualify financially for Medical Assistance (Medicaid)
Be assessed as needing a nursing home level of care
Complete a Long-Term Care Consultation (LTCC) assessment through their county

However, the program does not cover room and board, so residents are still responsible for housing and meal costs.
